The practice was formed in October 2002 as a result of a merger between two practices. Both practices had a long history of serving the people of Middlesbrough, one of them predated the inception of the NHS.
We wanted a name for the practice which not only reflected the past history, but also looked to the future with hope and optimism.
'Erimus' was thought to be most appropriate name. It appears on the town's Coat of Arms, which was adopted by the town in 1853. Erimus translates from Latin to "We Will Be".
We all agreed that this would be very appropriate name, which reflects the past, but also suggests forward thinking and progress.
